SUMMARY
Facilitate employee safety and Risk Management initiatives to include developing comprehensive training programs, curriculums and presentations to support the business needs of the Enterprise. Assist workgroups, as needed in the development of safety programs and training content by creating training materials (PowerPoint Presentations, training manuals, etc…) to support learning objectives. Maintain OSHA compliance for the entire Enterprise. Conduct incident investigations for root causes as needed.

Working/training hours as needed by the Enterprise include some early morning start times (7 a.m.). Occasional travel to Brevard and Midlands.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and present content for Enterprise safety meetings. This will include handouts, workbooks, PowerPoint presentations and workbooks.
  • Organize and maintain training calendar and registration system. Review, update and maintain Risk Management Memorandums and training records per OSHA guidelines.
  • Manage new hire orientation and/or other trainings related to customer service and employee development.
  • Conduct facility, crew safety and security assessments as needed. Assist with Workzone design and set up as needed to prevent injuries and maintain loss control.
  • Conduct incident investigations when needed and follow up on recommended corrective procedures to limit incident reoccurrence.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree or a two year technical degree preferred, or 5 to 7 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Over 5 years of Risk Management and safety responsibility & 5 years training experience.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Good interpersonal, organizational and computer skills. In depth knowledge of OSHA standards required.
  • First Aid/CPR Trainers Certification, OSHA Construction Certificate, Trenching/Excavation Competent Person, Forklift Instructor and Workzone Flagger credentials required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
