Anthony Dohman

With more than 17 years in the construction industry, Anthony serves as Vice President of Strategic Relationships at OccuMedX, where he advances comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) strategies that reduce incidents, improve productivity, and protect the workforce. He is an Ambassador for the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and a leader within the Tarheel Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals, actively shaping professional development initiatives and fostering collaboration across the safety community. Anthony is driven by a commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and building strategic alliances that elevate safety standards across industries.

Vice President:

Joseph (Joe) Lane

With over ten years of experience across the U.S. Navy, emergency services, and corporate safety leadership, Joseph (Joe) Lane is the Safety Manager at ESP Associates, where he develops and leads Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs focused on preventing incidents, improving accountability, and creating sustainable safety performance.  He serves as Secretary of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, contributing to professional growth and engagement within the safety profession.  Joe is passionate about practical safety leadership, combining training, technology, and communication to turn compliance requirements into everyday habits employees understand and rely on.

Position Statement (Reason for Interest in the Position):

I am interested in serving as Vice President of the ASSP Tarheel Chapter because I value connection, growth, and supporting others in the safety profession. While I may not claim to be the most experienced or knowledgeable person in every area of safety, I believe leadership is about showing up, learning continuously, and helping bring people together.

Through my involvement with our chapter and my role as Secretary, I’ve seen how powerful networking can be. The relationships we build through ASSP create opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth. I want to help strengthen those connections and ensure members feel welcomed, supported, and engaged.

If elected, my focus would be on supporting the President, encouraging committee involvement, and helping expand outreach so more safety professionals can benefit from what ASSP offers. I am committed to personal growth, developing as a leader, and helping our chapter grow alongside me.

I may not have all the answers, but I am willing to put in the work, listen, learn, and serve.

Secretary:

Zephaniah Heath

Zephaniah has more than 8 years in the Construction industry. Zeph is currently a Safey Manager at DPR Construction where he leads the charge for safety culture through innovation and relationship building. He currently serves on the Board of Appeals for Construction & Fire Prevention for the city of Rock Hill. Also a member in the Tarheel Chapter of American Society of Safety Professionals. Where his goal is to not only provide a good safety culture but to pay it forward to all young professionals in the industry.

Position Statement

My reason to want to join this board is to simply serve and pay it forward to other professionals in the industry. Whether I can help through conversation, charity, professional development, or professional help.

Treasurer:

David Consider

Mr. Consider is currently a Senior Safety Consultant for the National Safety Council.  He has over 30 years of experience cultivations occupational safety , health and environmental cultures of continuous improvement for companies in various industries to included materials handling, construction equipment dealerships, manufacturing, automotive, mining, steel abatement construction and demolition.  David is a results-oriented leader and consultant who has recommended, developed and implemented safety management systems and a best practices approach in all types of industries.  Mr. Consider is a Certified Safety Consultant, MSHA Instructor, OSHA Authorized Outreach Instructor and earned his M.S. degree in Safety Management and B.S> in Business Management from West Virginia University.
