Topic Master the Basics: Required OSHA Inspections and Training for General Industry

This session will discuss OSHA-required Inspections and Trainings in General Industry. This is a great topic for new safety professionals who are starting in their role or for safety professionals who need a refresher. Topics include The Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO), Emergency Action Plan, Hazard Communication, and more. We will also discuss some ANSI standards for those who already are experts in the OSHA regulations!

Speaker Brandy Zadoorian

Brandy Zadoorian is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) who helps manufacturing facilities build a robust and sustainable safety program that improves compliance with OSHA regulations, reduces recordable injuries and illnesses, decreases direct and indirect injury costs, and decreases worker compensation insurance premiums.

She has helped manufacturing facilities decrease their Days Away, Restrictions, or Transfers (DART) injury and illness rates by 73% and has reduced the Total Recordable Rates (TRR) by 69%.

Brandy is Triangle Safety Consulting LLC’s CEO and Principal Consultant in Greenville, South Carolina. Brandy has over nine years of experience in Safety and Industrial Hygiene in manufacturing facilities. She started her career as an industrial hygienist, then transitioned to an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist for a large manufacturing facility. She was then promoted to Corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for a corporation of 15,000 employees. In addition to being a CSP, Brandy is a Certified Safety Director (CSD).

Brandy won 1st Place in the J.J. Keller Safety Professional of The Year (SPOTY) Award in 2020 and was the 2022 Young Professional Safety Excellence Award Runner-Up from EHS Daily Advisor. She volunteers as the Secretary and Treasurer of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Piedmont Chapter. She received a 2024 Manufacturing Maven Honoree award at the 2024 South Carolina Manufacturing Conference and Expo.
